Art Video
The Sacred Union (2024)
In collaboration with Canadian performance artist Annie Gagnon, The Sacred Union is a 20-minute art video exploring abstract movement and emotion. My role involved editing the performance footage and applying color grading that enhanced the thematic elements of the piece. The project’s visual style emphasizes raw emotion, with each frame carefully curated to reflect the intensity of the performance.
Music Video
Weld Sahra (2023)
Directed and edited the music video for Mohamed Atef's single, Weld Sahra. The project involved creating a dynamic visual narrative that complemented the music’s emotional journey. Through precise editing and meticulous color grading, I amplified the video’s storytelling, adding vibrant color tones and visually impactful scenes.
Short Sitcom
Station 36 (2021)
Station 36 is a short-format sitcom produced by Perfect Productions. As the writer, director, and editor, I crafted the script and brought the characters to life, focusing on comedic timing and relatable storylines. The editing process was especially crucial for ensuring quick pacing and delivering punchlines effectively. This project highlights my ability to manage both the creative and technical aspects of a sitcom, from conceptualization to final cut.
Docu-Fiction
Poetry and Music of the Sahara (2020)
A feature-length docu-fiction blending narrative and documentary styles, Poetry and Music of the Sahara explores the rich cultural heritage of the region. As both editor and color grader, I worked to visually represent the beauty and complexity of the Sahara. The color grading process was crucial in capturing the warmth and texture of the environment, contributing to the film's visual and emotional depth.
TV film
The Star |ALNAJM| (2019)
The Star (ALNAJM) is a TV movie featuring notable Moroccan actors such as Jamila El Haouni, Hassan Ben Badida, and Abbelilah Ajil, produced by ALAoula Channel and Casablanca Pictures. As the director and co-writer, I was responsible for bringing the complex characters and emotional narrative to life, working closely with the cast to craft a compelling story. The project demanded a delicate balance of dramatic tension, which I conveyed through both directorial choices and the visual style of the film.
Short Film
Antidream Pill (2017)
Antidream Pill is a thought-provoking short film produced by New Generation Pictures, with the support of the FIFM foundation. As the writer and director, I explored the intersection between dreams and reality, focusing on the psychological struggles of the protagonist. The film received several international festival selections, highlighting its universal themes and innovative narrative structure. My work on this project showcased my ability to blend surreal storytelling with visually captivating direction.
With a background in filmmaking and video editing, I specialize in crafting stories that captivate audiences. My expertise spans across color grading and editing for TV shows, music videos, web series, and more.
